I am often asked for recommendations on different tools, resources, and services available to blogging and website optimization.
People particularly want to know what tools I personally use to manage my websites.
As a result, I’ve decided to put together a list of recommended tools.
I thought it would be a helpful resource for anyone looking for new resources to help grow their online business.
This page includes the various tools I use to build and execute SEO campaigns for my blogs.
Disclosure: This page contains affiliate links. I have a strict rule to only promote products I personally use to run my business. If you decide to purchase a subscription/tool through an affiliate link I will receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This is the main way I fund the blog – thanks for your support!
I Run This Blog With:
WordPress Hosting – SiteGround
The perfect starting web hosting solution for every new website owner.
Not only is it an affordable solution for all webmasters but it also comes with amazing support, high-level security, and impeccable performance.
It is also officially recommended by WordPress.org. I host this website on SiteGround.
Price: Plans start at 3.95$/month
WordPress Theme – GeneratePress
The perfect lightweight theme for the website of any size.
I personally use this theme across my blogs and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a performance-focused, secure theme with an appealing design.
It is also search engine optimized and looks great on all mobile devices(which is huge for SEO and UX nowadays).
The best part is that you can use it on as many websites as you wish!
Price: Normally it’s 49.95$/year but you may use this link to get 10% off!
Domain Name Registrar – NameCheap
This is the place where I get domain names for my websites. You probably know that many web hosting companies(including SiteGround) offer a free domain name for the 1st year.
The reason I don’t recommend this option is that if you want to change your web host provider in the future it will be a huge pain in one place.
So I suggest everyone using NameCheap.
Price: You can get a domain name for as little as $8.88/year.
Email Marketing Service – SendinBlue
Here is the deal, there are tons of companies there that will charge you about 100$/month for just keeping your email contacts! I think it’s insane and the price is far from reasonable, especially for novice bloggers.
What sets Sendinblue apart is that it is super cheap and user-friendly so anyone can start email marketing campaigns without breaking the bank.
Price: you can start using SendinBlue for free(300 emails/day) and upgrade it for 25$/month (40000 emails/month). There are even more solutions for bigger businesses.
List Building Tool – Thrive Leads
If you want to conduct successful email campaigns you need to have email subscribers in the first place.
Thrive Leads is an all-in-one list building plugin for WordPress. It has all the features you can imagine for converting blog visitors into email subscribers.
You will never need multiple plugins(that may conflict with each other).
The best part is that you pay a very low price and get it for a LIFETIME!
Price: 67$(1 website), 97$(5 websites) 147$(15 websites)
Content Management System – WordPress
This platform is HUGE on the internet and it helps me manage this blog.
It is the most user-friendly, secure and customizable CMS you can find.
In fact, WordPress powers 35% of all the websites on the web. (Source)
Note: If you host your blog on SiteGround you can install WordPress on it with one click.
The following tools and services help me get the work done.
They also allow me to stay focused and productive most of the time.
I love Google and its products. I use Google Docs to create blog post drafts, checklists, worksheets, and so on. The autosave feature is awesome if you constantly update your documents and don’t want to lose all the changes you’ve made.
You may also use Google Docs across many devices effortlessly.
Anytime I want to take any course on the web I use this platform. There are loads of insightful classes from graphic design to pottery.
The prices are really low and the instructors try their best to deliver the highest value possible.
Price: Some courses are free while others start from 10$ per unit.
There is no point to explain what this platform is. However the way I approach it is a little bit different.
I see it as a goldmine of the highest quality free information on the web. No matter what you want to learn YouTube has something to offer to you.
You can start by following your niche experts and taking notes while watching their content.
Price: Free with video ads
No matter the size of your website at some point you might want to find a specialist that will help you with certain tasks.
Fiverr is a great place to find freelancers for your business. You can find lots of services for your website and marketing campaigns. The best part is that you may get the job done for a very low price.
Price: the starting point is 5$.
All visual assets you may see on this blog are made with the help of good old Photoshop.
This tool is incredible for those who love to create stunning pictures and photos.
It is the industry standard not only in raster graphics editing but in digital art as a whole.
Price: Starts from 9.99$/month
One More Thing
I understand that some of the tools listed above may be a little bit pricey for those of you who are just starting and have a tight budget.
I tried to include as many cheap/free but quality tools as possible. However, the premium tools from the list have much more power and will help your online business scale much faster. I personally use every tool listed above for my projects.
